At last, a bluebell extravaganza!

I've posted before about bluebells but to be honest, I was making the best of a very few flowers. Now, two weeks later, here's the real thing. This is why we go back each year to this little-frequented spot. My only challenge is to whittle down the 50+ pictures to a manageable number. In the dappled light, the intense blue and the sheer scale of the 'flower beds' were breathtaking. I can't decide on a favourite, what do you think?

  1. Wonderful flower pictures! I live in London, where we're not exactly overwhelmed with flora. Of the home counties, Buckinghamshire seems to have many of the best displays, in the predominantly beech Chiltern woodlands. This year I happened on a lovely bluebell carpet in Hertfordshire. But it was during a club cycle race in which I was trying to pedal as fast as my ageing legs would allow (that is, not very fast), so unfortunately they passed in a bit of a blur.
